I'm glad I got this game at a discount. It's very... schizophrenic, to put it kindly. It tries to convey a "deep" story about posthumanity but the exposition is in fact pretty corny and most of the voice acting is poor. Critics tout the story as the main strength of the game so... I dunno. I think people need to read more. The gameplay is kind of satisfying but I feel like I'm playing a slightly more polished version of Hitman. That was a great game in its time but this is 2011. Once again, people say stealth is the way to go with this game yet I find the stealth pretty rote and uninteresting. The hacking minigame... yeah this is way better than Pipe Dream in Bioshock, not. Overall this game just feels like a bunch of old ideas put into an admittedly polished game (in places), but the dry gameplay and the pulp sci fi calibre writing just aren't super compelling for me. Maybe it will grow on me, but I'm glad I didn't pay full price for this thing.
